My (now) husband and I hired Dr. David McFadden to officiate our wedding ceremony and he was absolutely superb. Dr. McFadden has a warm personality. He is kind, sincere, respectful, and was very sensitive to and patient with our needs and requests for the ceremony. We met with him twice before the wedding to discuss the details of the ceremony and he provided us with a step-by-step rundown of each component of the ceremony so that we knew what to expect. Dr. McFadden made us feel very comfortable during the ceremony (which was helpful because the day-of can be nervewracking!). I would highly recommend Dr. McFadden to officiate any wedding ceremony, both traditional and nontraditional. He is terrific at what he does!

Dr. David was a wonderful officiant, and we are so glad that we found him. We met with him and discussed all the different options for our ceremony. He sent us so many different versions of vows, readings, etc. to choose from. We also weren't a huge fan of the unity candle ceremony since we've seen it a lot, but he helped us with other versions. This led us to included the handfasting ceremony which I received so many compliments on! Interestingly, the florist had used the cord I bought to tie a decoration on our pergola, and I found this out when it was missing and it was time to line up to walk down the aisle. Dr. David found the cord, cut it in half and rigged the curtain so the decor was in place, and we could still complete a portion of the ceremony! It was seamless and no one knew we left out a small portion. He really allowed us to personalize our entire ceremony as much as we wanted and made us so comfortable when all eyes were on us.

I am so happy that my mother in law found Dr. McFadden to do our wedding ceremony. All of our guests loved him and thought his voice sounded was perfect. He made our guests laugh and he was very prepared. He had a handkerchief ready when he saw me tearing up, even though he should have given it to my husband since he cried first =] Before the ceremony, we had to meet with him so he can get to know us which I thought was a great idea. I told him I was really nervous and I’ve never been to a wedding before so I don’t even know how a wedding works. Like when I should speak or what I should say. He made it very clear that I shouldn’t worry because he will let me know when I should be speaking or what I should say. We picked the lines we wanted to say so we had plenty of time to memorize our lines if we wanted to, but just repeated it after him. I was scared during the meet and greet but I got very comfortable right away. We got to know each other and he gave us pointers on how to have a successful wedding. We are very happy and thankful that he was able to squeeze us in in such short notice. Our wedding night was PERFECT!

He was thorough and caring, ensuring that everything in our program took care of our needs, not the needs of others. He paid attention to each of us and who we are and tailored our ceremony based on that. He met with us prior to the wedding, followed up on everything that he said he would and made the long trip to Chicago – during rush hour – on a Tthursday, to accommodate our dress rehearsal. I could not have asked for a better man than David for our wedding; he took it upon himself to know what to do, when to do it and he fit in seamlessly. My husband and I feel blessed to have found Dr. David McFadden; he was/is amazing. When I started looking for officiants it wasn't long before I was let down. I was astonished not only by the prices, but the sales pitches. I just wanted someone to at least act like they cared about our wedding instead of just the money. Then I came across Dr. David McFadden. He was a breath of fresh air. I found Final Word Connection on Thumbtack, and although I was hesitant, I thought that it was worth meeting with him. It went great; he made it comfortable, personable, along with being professional. David took the time to get to know us, our relationship and what was important to us. He wove all of those details into our ceremony; personalizing it to our relationship. He was there if we had questions, gave us examples, guidance, ideas and freedom for the verbiage we would want used, but didn't need our final choices until the week before the wedding. On the wedding day, David combined a perfect balance of humor and seriousness into our ceremony. More importantly, my husband told me after the ceremony that he thinks he would have lost his mind without David. Mike said David was the ONLY person that calmed him down when he was freaking out that no one knew what they were supposed to be doing and when he couldn't figure out when he should be walking…Mike said David was able to get him to relax and feel that everything was going to work out fine. Also, as you know weddings are expensive, and you are overcharged for almost everything; however David was the only person/vendor that my husband said that he would have paid him triple the amount for how great he was. David's pricing is way more than reasonable, it is almost unbelievable. To recap my long review: all-in-all he is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Dr. McFadden.
